Access Media 3 Completes Merger in South Florida Market

Company Will Provide TV, Internet and Voice Service to MDU Buildings

Oak Brook, IL (June 2011) In a dramatic expansion outside its established markets in the Midwest, triple-play media provider Access Media 3 has merged with Peoples Choice Cable in Boca Raton, Florida. The deal, completed June 14, 2011, nearly doubles AM3’s addressable market, stretching the company’s footprint far beyond its existing customer bases in Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Merging with Peoples Choice brings AM3 approximately 7,000 new subscribers in 180 buildings located between Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida.

AM3’s experience in the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) market has already made it a leading provider of high-speed Internet, TV and voice service to apartment and condominium buildings. AM3 is the largest non-franchised triple-play provider in the Midwest, with almost 40,000 subscribers in more than 450 buildings. Access Media 3 has received DIRECTV’s Highest Year-Over-Year Growth Award; this award ranks Access Media 3 first among all DIRECTV’s MDU partners nationwide for second quarter annual growth from 2009 through 2010.

“This merger is an outstanding opportunity for Access Media 3 to bring its extensive product knowledge to a new regional market,” said Robert Neumann, AM3’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Using the excellent operational team currently in place in South Florida, AM3 will provide the industry’s most innovative media and telecom services to existing Peoples Choice clients and build the sales staff to expand our reach in this new market. We look forward to developing strong relationships throughout South Florida to deliver the best possible media services with a focus on value, flexibility, and responsiveness.” The target market includes the communities of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Key Biscayne, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Jupiter, and neighboring towns.

In addition to Internet and TV service already supplied by Peoples Choice, AM3 will offer customers high-quality voice service. AM3 is a certified competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Florida Public Service Commission which allows AM3 to provide competitive telephone services throughout the state of Florida and long-distance service globally. AM3 is also certified to provide voice services in Illinois and Minnesota. Subscribers will have the option to switch to AM3 phone service with no change to their existing equipment, and bundled services will yield significant cost savings to most customers. “We compete head-to-head with larger phone companies, and have the institutional flexibility to create the best possible package for each client,” commented Mr. Neumann. AM3 offers the benefits of customer information protection and the assurance to customers that AM3 is held to higher standards than other TV and Internet companies that are not certified by the FCC or the Florida Public Service Commission.
